Hi Tamara,

So, give us the low down.

Where is the office?
What did you need to take with you?
What information did they need from you?
Any other information we might need etc.

Thanks in anticipation,

Tom.

Hi Tom y Tamara.
I can down load an invoice from my bank account BUT it never shows the actual consumption.
Ok I do read my meter periodically to ensure that there is no sudden increase due to leaks etc.
Do your posted invoices detail the consumption? Ta

Tom you could try the CAAF office in Corralejo down from the main bus station. Only open mornings.

Yes, the postal one has consumption details.
You have to go to the puerto office for Admin as far as I'm aware.

from Radio Sintonia, today, 8th Nov:

The CAAF repairs the general drive network in Puerto del Rosario after detecting a breakdown.
The Consortium of Water Supply to Fuerteventura (CAAF) repairs from the morning of today, Monday, November 8, a breakdown produced in the main impulsion network that goes from the plant of Puerto del Rosario to the deposit of La Herradura. The CAAF has acted immediately in its repair, waiting for the total restoration of the service from next Friday, November 12.

As it is the main line of impulsion towards La Herradura, as well as one of the main deposits of the Island, possible cuts will occur, affecting the entire Island.
The CAAF informs of the priority of restoring the service as soon as possible and due to the seriousness of the breakdown of this impulsion network, which affects the insular production of drinking water, it wants to keep users informed of the possible restrictions in the service that may be caused. The Consortium also requests that they check their facilities and check the proper functioning of the storage tanks and at the same time regrets the inconvenience that the incident may cause.

Oops! Wonder if any cars were parked in those spaces? 🤣

The Consortium of Water Supply to Fuerteventura has completed this Tuesday, November 9, the repair of the breakdown produced in the main impulsion network that goes from the Puerto del Rosario plant to the La Herradura deposit. Once repaired, the levels are recovered these days to reach the restoration of the supply in the different areas of Fuerteventura, thanks to the effort and professionalism of the CAAF staff for the settlement of this type of incidents.
The CAAF acted immediately in the repair of the incident, regretting the inconvenience caused by the damage to one of the main impulsion networks of the Island.
The breakdown corresponds to the obsolescence of the materials of the water supply network to Fuerteventura, so the CAAF is working to put out to tender soon a third line that will double the main impulsion capacity of the plant from Puerto del Rosario to La Herradura, with the aim of correcting this type of incident.
According to the Minister of Water, David de Vera, through the Insular Cooperation Plan for the supply of drinking water "we must continue to optimize the resources of the supply network, not only with improvements in distribution, such as the third line of impulsion to the Horseshoe, but also in production, with the imminent expansion of the desalination plants of Puerto del Rosario and Corralejo". "The objective is to renovate and modernize all those infrastructures that, due to their prolonged use, have been deteriorating," concludes De Vera.

Radio Sintonia:

The Consortium of Water Supply to Fuerteventura reinforces its telephone attention from this Monday, November 15. The service extends its hours thanks to the incorporation of personnel, which is awarded to the Special Employment Center of Iniciativa Social Adisfuer.
In this way, two people are incorporated who will improve the telephone attention through the number 928 85 03 38 to communicate breakdowns, 928 85 07 61 to consult information and the WhatsApp of breakdowns 606 999 525.
The result of this reinforcement of personnel is the extension of the schedule from 08.00 to 20.00 h. from Monday to Friday. Outside of those hours, on weekends and holidays users will be served through the WhatsApp of breakdowns.
The president of the Cabildo, Sergio Lloret, considers that "with these additions of new personnel a double objective is achieved: to improve the citizen attention service in case of breakdowns in the water supply and to favor the labor integration of a vulnerable group that requires institutional support for the integral development of each of these people."

From Noticiasfuerteventura.com:

CAAF will not charge the user's accidental water losses

Published on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 - 20: 40H

The General Board of the Consortium of Water Supply to Fuerteventura (CAAF) today unanimously approved the modification of the fiscal ordinance regulating the rates for the provision of the water supply service relative to the primary sector in order to "adjust it to its needs ”, as explained by the president of the Consortium and the Cabildo, Sergio Lloret López.

This modification of the ordinance contemplates that the water counted in excess in his meter is not taxed on the consumer due to accidental breakdowns. In this case, and in accordance with what the Consortium's services indicate, once the abnormality in the registered volume has been studied, the ordinary rate will be applied and there will be no penalty for irrational high consumption.

For the president of the Cabildo, Sergio Lloret, "this modification aims to correct what is fair in the rational consumption of water and is that in extraordinary situations derived from fortuitous breakdowns we believe that we do not have to tax them on the subscriber by applying the highest quotas, but when it is proven that they are breakdowns, the payment is established based on the expected average consumption and the ordinary rate is applied to the surplus because it is not an irrational use of water but fortuitous causes ”.

"We do not believe that applying the higher rates is fair or obeys the rationale for the rational use of water that the ordinance indicates and quantifies by sections," stressed the president, for whom this amendment represents "an important step in fair treatment in terms of to the rate applied to subscribers and, on the other hand, it gives facilities to the primary sector of the island ”.
