Thanks to all for regular updates. Anyone with recent experience of how to furnish a brand new property? Ideally someone to look after the entire proces, we had hoped the developer might offer something but it seems not although there was talk of a showhome on the site.

Hi Jason - Happy to help with advice as we bought one of the new ones on La Estancia in April 2016.  We used a firm called Design Emporium who offered a complete service, furniture inside and out, light fittings including fitting, curtains and blinds, the lot, so when we arrived for our first stay it was like arriving at a rental.   I think she has gone out of business, as the building she worked from is for sale.

Anjoca gave us a list of recommended furnishers but I don't have it here in the UK it is at the villa and we are not there until later in June.

I am not sure but you could try what we call the Green shop - Centrogar - 

   

I think they offer a furnishing service as I have seen people sat with staff up stairs looking at all sorts of things.  


Other furnishing shops in PDR may offer the same service, try Merkamueble -

Hi I’m Karen new member.  Has been lovely to read all your comments and see the photos of the development.  We are purchasing a top floor apartment.  We are coming over next week to see how the  development is progressing.  Are there any show villas or apartments ready yet?

Morning Karen, as Tamara mentions welcome to the forum.

We are on La Estancia, the villas of similar design to the ones being built on your development, bought in April 2016, so happy to support with any tips or queries you may have. 


Tamara in the office is also very helpful, and based on our experience in 2016 looking at the latest photos on here and on Captains Caleta website - Photos I would think they are at a stage where they will do a hard hat tour of the villas, not sure about the apartments as can't see the internals.

We are over at our villa 25/6 for 3 weeks if you want a chat.

Hi thanks we are over just for a few days.  Yes would be nice perhaps to meet and get some ideas and thoughts on Where to buy furniture etc x we are staying at the Sheraton if your villa is very similar to the new development we would love sizes etc give us some ideas if layout hard to visualise from paper plans.
