Two elderly women are taken to hospital after the car leaves the road.
The accident occurred going up to Betancuria and one of the women had to be pulled out by the firefighters
Yesterday afternoon there was an accident in the municipality of Antigua, when a vehicle left the road and fell into an embankment with two elderly couples inside.
The two men got out of the vehicle without having to be taken to the hospital and one of the women got out by her own effort, another of the women had to be rescued by the firefighters of the cabildo as she had been trapped.
The 112 report includes a 72-year-old woman who at the initial moment of care has moderate polycontusions, transferred by basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura.
And another 81-year-old woman who at the initial moment of care had moderate polycontusions, transferred by basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura.
Yesterday morning, the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert through the e-call system of a vehicle and, later, it was confirmed that several people needed medical assistance after the vehicle in which they were travelling overturned.
Three of the occupants were able to get out of the vehicle under their own power, but it took the intervention of firefighters to free a fourth person who had been trapped inside.
The SUC staff assisted the four occupants, two of whom were men and were treated on site without the need to be transferred to a health centre. However, the two women who were injured were taken to the aforementioned hospital.
The Guardia Civil regulated the traffic on the road and made the corresponding report.
