Four people arrested for an alleged crime of robbery with violence in Fuerteventura.
The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Corralejo on the island of Fuerteventura, arrested on February 9 and 10, 2023 four people aged between 18 and 25 years old. They are charged with an alleged crime of robbery with violence or intimidation. In addition to this, three crimes of robberies with force in things and a crime of occupation of housing.
The facts have been clarified through a blow provoked to the victim in a violent way with a strong headbutt in the face and take advantage of leaving him disoriented to steal all his belongings in a leisure area of Corralejo.
Knowledge of the facts
The Civil Guard for a few months has been aware that a series of crimes against property have been occurring, some of them using violence on people, thefts and robberies. Given the criminal acts that had been occurring and the last complaint filed, being a person who said he was assaulted in previous days.
Exactly on the night of January 29, 2023, a group of individuals unexpectedly assaulted the victim, while he was in a leisure area. One of them with a strong blow to the head in a surprising way, leaving the victim dazed and disoriented on the ground. In this way, the aggressors took the opportunity to continue attacking him until they managed to immobilize him completely. This is how the perpetrators took advantage of the criminal act to search their pockets and steal all their belongings. This fact has caused polycontusions in most parts of the victim's body, not seriously endangering her life, leaving her in a semi-conscious state on the ground.
Given these facts, the Civil Guard initiated the corresponding investigation based on the study and management of images with a thorough viewing of video surveillance cameras. In addition, they also had night Police devices and collection of testimonies among others. In this way, they have been able to collect all the appropriate investigations in order to identify the four perpetrators of the Events and their subsequent identification and arrest.
The detainees and the proceedings carried out were placed at the disposal of the Court of Guard of Puerto del Rosario.
