According to 112 Canarias, a woman died on a beach in Fuerteventura, located on Playa de Sotavento, in the municipality of Pájara, 5th July 2024, at approximately 1:48 p.m.
Assessment of those affected provided by the SUC:
60-year-old woman, deceased
Services activated by CECOES 1 1 2:
Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands: rescue helicopter
Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC): one basic life support ambulance and one medicalized ambulance
Firefighters of Pájara
Civil Guard
Local Police
Observations:
At the time indicated above, the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1 1 2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting the discovery of a woman in cardiorespiratory arrest on the aforementioned beach.
On 112 the necessary emergency resources were immediately activated.
Since the victim was in an area that was difficult for health services to access, the GES helicopter was activated to rescue and evacuate her to the Morro Jable helipad, where the staff of a medicalized ambulance from the SUC confirmed her death.
The Civil Guard conducted the corresponding investigation and took charge of the body until the arrival of the judicial authorities.
