Five robberies and one robbery with violence in six days.
The National Police arrests two men for numerous robberies in Puerto del Rosario
Agents of the National Police have arrested in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, when they fled to the round island, two men of 37 and 34 years of age respectively, with Police records, as alleged perpetrators of five crimes of theft and one crime of robbery with violence.
At the end of last year, the National Police became aware through several complaints filed by the managers of several commercial establishments in the capital of Fuerteventura, of the theft of branded clothes and perfume bottles.
The Police investigation led to the identification of the alleged perpetrators, two men who, for the commission of these crimes, always used the same modus operandi. They placed the stolen items in presumably shielded bags to prevent the activation of the alarms of the security arches.
In addition to the robberies in several commercial establishments, these two people attacked another man in the capital of Fuerteventura to steal his personal effects.
The Police officers learned that the alleged perpetrators had embarked from the Morro Jable dock bound for the Port of La Luz and Las Palmas. For these reasons, a Police operation was organized upon his arrival.
The Police operation culminated in the identification and arrest of the two alleged perpetrators, who were arrested for six crimes of theft and one crime of robbery with violence. Both were placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
In the search carried out in the vehicle, numerous items of branded clothing, several bottles of perfume of original signatures, and 2,485 euros in cash were seized.
