Remarks:

At the time indicated above, the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert requesting medical assistance for a man who had been injured after being the victim of a knife attack on the public road.
1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
SUC personnel assisted the injured man and after stabilizing him, he was transferred to the island's hospital where he was admitted in serious condition.
The National Police conducted the corresponding investigations.

The National Police of Puerto del Rosario, in Fuerteventura, has made a crucial arrest after a violent incident on the capital's Tenerife street. A 23-year-old Spanish national has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing another 24-year-old. The incident, which took place just after 11 p.m. on Wednesday, triggered a rapid emergency response.



After a call to the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 112, two ambulances from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) were dispatched to the scene, finding the affected person with a serious open wound on his left leg. The young man was stabilized at the site and then evacuated in serious condition to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura.


Due to the severity of his injuries, it was necessary to transfer him urgently by medical helicopter to the Doctor Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria, where he underwent surgery. Meanwhile, the National Police launched an investigation, collecting testimonies from witnesses and managing to identify and arrest the alleged aggressor at his home. The causes of the attack and the relationship between the aggressor and the victim have not yet been clarified.
