Lidl on the Costa de Antigua Industrial Estate

Whilst shopping at Mercadona took these photos this morning -

             

Sign going up, carpark being laid out trolley store built.

We had also been to shop in Lidl in PDR and noticed they had a lot more staff than usual stocking shelves so wonder if they have started recruiting and training for the new store opening

Staff training with Lidl’s usually happens 4 to 6 wks before new store openings so maybe not that long to go 😁😁

Things are moving along now.  Lots of workers on site this afternoon.

As I passed by this afternoon, and again this evening, all the lights were on inside.

Working at a pace this morning entry and exit gantries going up, car park block pavers being laid sign up on building.

                        

One draw back in the layout design is you enter and exit on the front road so have to drive all the way round to get out of the industrial park not like Mercadona next door where you can drive through.

Our route will be Lidl, Frani Y Chem, Herbania and then Mercadona

Hours also posted on the sign outside: 0900 to 2200, Mon - Sat. So they managed to get an extra half hour on Mercadona every day.  I am sure that was a huge bone of contention— maybe the trade-off was the entry/exit point being on the front road?

Disappointed to see they won't be open Sundays, but I suppose that was too much to hope for.

I wonder if they are going to have a rear exit up the side of the building nearest Mercadona ?  They were hard coring a road up there yesterday.
