· Mayor Matías Peña offers his collaboration to the British vice-consul Jackie Stevenson to hold informative meetings or propose common actions to the British community.

· The Municipality of Antigua welcomes more than 2,000 Britons of the nearly 4,000 residents of Fuerteventura.

· Councilor for Tourism, Deborah Edgington and Columba Lopez of Social Services collaborate with the team of the British Consulate in publicizing the services and social associations of the municipality and the island.

· Associations such as Red Cross, Fuerteventura Solidaria, Asomasamen, Fuerteventura Association against cancer or Amadi explained their projects that are also on the consulate website.

This Tuesday afternoon has been held in Caleta de Fuste a new information meeting aimed at the British community in order to explain in English and Spanish care resources offered by the British Consulate that incorporates on its website www.supportinspain.info the actions and aid They can receive and volunteer with associations such as the Red Cross, Asomasamen, AMADI, Fuerteventura Solidaria and Fuerteventura against cancer, whose representatives presented their work and career on the island.

More than fifty people attended the meeting with the British consulate, also attending the mayor of Antigua, Matias Peña who conveyed his congratulations to Vice Consul Jackie Stevenson for the initiative to organize briefings, offering the mayor the collaboration they need from the City Council of Antigua.

The Councilor for Tourism Deborah Edgington and the Councilor for Social Services, Columba López, participated in a bilingual meeting that ended with the registration of some of those present as volunteers in the social associations presented.

The support in spain project is a website in Spanish and English, which allows locating each user the services of their area of residence, resolving usual questions such as procedures, registration processes, transfers or services and social associations that may require or with which they can collaborate, and Councilwoman Edgington adds, in projects like this we must collaborate because they are positive for the entire resident community, whether British or not.
