The best car hire company - poll

Hi all
Has anyone experience of AVIS car hire at the airport?
Looking to book through UK website for Xmas and New Year and they are way cheaper than many other car hire Companies BUT ONLY if you book through their UK site.
The Avis Spain website prices are up there with the others, almost 3x the UK quoted cost.
Avis UK site - 31 Dec to 10 Jan UK £98, roughly 120 euros
Avis Spain site - 343 Euros
Any thoughts much appreciated

Used last three visits and no problems although one time our car and the car for the couple in front had been booked for Lanzarote in error. We were lucky, they were not as they booked a larger vehicle and nothing was available. Pick up and returns went well but queue for pick up can be slow as sometimes only one person on the desk.
