Transferred to Gran Canaria after being rescued from the sea on Cofete beach.
A man, about 50 years old and of Polish origin, has had to be transferred, in serious condition, in a medical helicopter from the SUC to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria, after being recovered from a cardiorespiratory arrest, on the beach of Cofete, Fuerteventura.
According to 1-1-2, at 12:56 p.m., the Emergency and Security Coordination Center received an alert requesting medical assistance for a swimmer who was in cardiorespiratory arrest after being rescued from the water with signs of drowning. According to the whistleblower, he was being resuscitated.
The 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources and, upon arrival, the SUC staff resumed resuscitation manoeuvres managing to reverse the cardiorespiratory arrest and, after stabilising the patient, transferred him in a medical helicopter from the SUC to the Insular Hospital of Gran Canaria.
