To Spitfire The cost is still 12 Euro the number 790 is the number of the form to fill in to pay the fee.
To Johnrgby Thanks I thought that should be the case but when ever I ask in Corralejo at 6 monthly intervals the machine is always broken.
When (if) life becomes a little more normal I think I will ask if I can have the 6 figure code from their computer,or possibly try the admin in PR main hospital.
Morning David, I do not really understand what machine you are referring to? I am supposing that they are telling you they have a machine that prints them? which I doubt very much we originally had paper/cardboard ones, when the plastic ones were issued about 2/3 years ago you collected them from The Medical Centre, I only found this out as I was there and saw the sign, if you had not been there and not seen this sign you would not have known they were available, I was back there a month later, and there was a new notice that said if they were not picked up by a certain date they would be returned to Madrid, { I put this info on the old forum and Facebook, and from the reaction, there were very many people who had not collected them as they simply were not aware they were available } I am 99% certain this is where they come from and your Medical Center has to order them,

To Tamara not sure if you asking or stating. Form 790 fill out on line, print, take to bank pay 12 euros cash to make sure no bank charges incurred.
Fill out ex 18, print first 2 sheets only.
Apologies if I am teaching you how to suck eggs as I know this subject has been well covered.
to Johnrgby
Thanks for the comprehensive reply.
I did the paperwork in the social security Puerto, about 2 years ago.
Took that to Corry medical centre where I was issued with paper cert with bar mark but no security code in the little box.
I have used the medical centre and it all works fine,in fact I have just been assigned a new doctor this morning.( A pity because my previous doctora was gorgeous!!)
I was trying to get my security code to enable me to make appointments on line as the option list on the telephone for me is a nightmare.
Thanks again for your reply.
DavidP no worries, I did mine year's ago thanks.
Next time you're at Centro Salud show them your paper and ask for tarjeta. If it's not still waiting for you they can order you a new one. Online booking, cita previa, certainly makes life easier!

Tom.
I am not convinced they actually have a machine, they certainly do not in Antigua, or Rosario, a friend of mine went into Rosario last week and was told they would order them, besides a machine that is capable of printing these cards was in excess of £2000 10 years ago, and seems a big investment for little use as once printed other than losing one you will have it for life, but I can be corrected
Whilst we didn't get our cards, we did get a paper print out of what the card will eventually look like. My code (codigo) for the app was shown on the reverse. In the picture, it's the part I have obscured in green.
