Does anyone know how I go about getting this certificate? It is needed by HMRC to avoid double taxation.

Do the Spanish Tax authorities not issue the equivalent of a P60 to indicate you have paid your tax in Spain?

To get the Residencia Fiscal en Espana Convenio you can visit "Agencia Tributaria" website and apply online (if you have a Digital Certificate number or Cl@ve PIN) or print it out and bring it to the Tax Office in Puerto del Rosario.

Link to the online form: Residencia Fiscal en Espana Convenio

Choose "English" in the top right corner and click on "Request" once the page is in English. Use your identification number and click on the "Residencia Fiscal".

The other option is to download the form. Simply follow the link: Residencia Fiscal en Espana Convenio form. I'll also upload the form here, just in case.

Click on  "Download the form" and save the PDF document in your device. Print it out, fill out your details, don't forget to tick the "Residencia Fiscal en España" and bring the form to Agencia Tributaria (Tax Office) in Puerto with your passport.

The certificate will be valid for three months and should be issued with a verification code so HMRC can check the validity.
