I believe up to the end of May the total number of cases on Fuerteventura was 45 all of which had recovered and we went for a number of days of no new cases

Anyone got a ball park figure on total number of infections to date and % attributable to those arriving on the migrant boats? Close to 50%?

That is really not helpful...it will just give people with anti immigration views a license to spout their bile.

Given the need to get numbers down to aid the return of tourism it is a valid question. Thousands of jobs are at stake. If the numbers are separated it gives a better understanding of the real infection rate. It is certainly no attempt on my part to provoke those against migrants in responding. As things stand, this magic 20 per 100,000 everyone refers to is not achievable on a consistent basis anytime soon unless the cases are separated.

It's been interesting that the migrant figure over the last couple of weeks has not been separated from the locals figure. It's only today that they(the Cabildo) have said that 14 migrants have recovered.

Hi everyone,
this is my first contribution to this awesome forum, so I hope I don't do anything wrong or that it has been mentioned before. The R2 Rìo Calma in Costa Calma closes its doors temporarily at the 26th of this month. I am not surprised since the hotel has such a huge capacity.

Hello Fabián, welcome to the forum and thanks for taking the trouble to post some info.
You can't really go wrong and if you do put something in the 'wrong' place we can easily move it to a more relevant spot. Are you holidaying here or a resident? Just out of interest/being nosy really!
