Residencia Fiscal en Espana Convenio
#11
Hi Tom, been into tax office and got the email to download the certificate. I have downloaded it I think, I had to input the password that I set it up with earlier in the registration process, I went onto Agencia Tributaria website to get my 'Residencia Fiscal en Espana Convenio' certificate for the double taxation form for HMRC and got this on screen,

403
Identification error. Digital Certificate is not detected or has not been selected correctly.
You can contact the taxpayer service indicating the error code 403.

Any ideas please.

Regards
Willie

The first time I downloaded a digi cert I had to restart my pc for it to take effect. Might be as simple as that...

With regard to your application for a Tax Residence Certificate in Spain, we NOTIFY that:

Having examined Tax Agency records, we are not in a position to grant the request submitted by: *********

v>
If you are a taxpayer affected by Article 14.2 of Law 39/2015, you may use the “Answer demands, make
declarations and/or provide documents or supporting evidence” formality and request a “Tax
Residence in Spain” certificate again, using the abovementioned reference number, and by providing the
documentation that proves your Tax Residence in Spain. Your case will be resolved within 20 working days.
You may track the status of your request procedure through the MIS EXPEDIENTES application available on
the e-Office, in the “Tramitación” tab, and within the “Certificaciones” grouping, where you will find an entry
corresponding to your request with the reference number indicated above plus the prefix TCT. On the same
page, when the process is finished, you will find a link to the response in a section called “Asociados”.

I am on the Tax Records here in Fuerteventura, I'm now thinking they will issue the Double Taxation certificate at the end on June, who knows.

Thanks also to Cotillo Tom for his help.

Do not know if this is relevant.
I pay my taxes here in 2 stages June and November.
When I wanted a refund from HMRC I could not obtain my Spanish fiscal cert until the Agencia tributaria had received the 2nd payment in the November.
It then took another 15 months to get my monies from HMRC !!(as I whinged about on here previously.)

I tried submitting a copy of my Renta for 2021 to get my 'Residencia Fiscal en Espana Convenio' but that wasn't sufficient enought evidence to verify that I am a Fiscal Resident, they actually want a bank statement stating that I have actually been in the territory for over 182 days which shows that I have been making transactions, I have submitted the bank statement to them, fingers crossed this time.

There appears to be a glitch in the rentaweb system.
No matter which way we went in,electronic key,ref no or whatever it kept throwing up NO OBLIGADA which would be nice but unfortunately is not true.
Eventually I hit the "mostrar"(to show) key and used the individual pages to make the entries.
As we entered numbers the first page duplicated them and the No obligado disappeared, thereafter normal service resumed.
The renta web is a good system (unless you have a UK civil service pension etc) and simple and you can batter away at it,as I did and it does not seem to mind.
