Ok ducks I understand what you’re saying but your take on the thing seems to be based on the fact that “the virus” is a deadly alien infection that kills everyone who comes within sneezing distance! It’s not - it’s a flu - same as we get every winter - worse than normal and more lethal to elderly people with underlying problems but not the end of the world - stop panicking and making things worse than they are!

Yesterday afternoon I went for a walk along the front of the Atlantico Centre towards Las Salinas del Carmen whilst on the paved walk way I wore my mask, but once past the Hotel Sara on the coastal track I slipped it down and avoided the 5 people I passed by at least 5mts, once back on paved walk way mask back on.  That is easy enough to do.

I’m sorry but I’m a firm believer in the maxim that the cure has turned out to be far, far worse than the disease. Yes deaths are high and every one is a tragedy but proportionate to the world population the figures are low and not worth closing down the economy for. Just my opinion and I accept that I’m in the minority!

I think picking on is a bit harsh Sam but I accept that my writing style tends to be a little abrasive at times! Bearing in mind what happened to the other forum referred to I’ll try to moderate my behaviour😇
I do get a little impatient with the widespread paranoia about COVID - during the last couple of weeks my grandson and daughter in law tested positive for the virus following tests because of exposure at university and the NHS. Neither of them experienced any symptoms or felt unwell other than the loss of smell and taste associated with the illness. They isolated with the rest of their families and no one else contracted the disease. I accept they were fortunate and not every one escapes so lightly but others go way over the top to avoid contact in my opinion. 
I am not an anti masker by any means and put on my mask at all times I should - ie shops, bars etc. but I can’t say that I would wear one on the walk to Las Salinas - there’s plenty of room to avoid each each other down there!

This virus will always hit some people harder than others. I have friends here who have just lost one of their neighbours in the UK and his partner is very poorly in ICU. Also friends on my complex had their son in hospital for three weeks in September, who I'm glad to say is now back at home.
