I agree with Tamara, all efforts are appreciated but seriously doubt the effectiveness.

This was not good news, saw this last evening, they certainly need to up the testing and perhaps include the ferry terminals.

While I agree with Milestone about where this moron should be now, the upside is they caught this one early enough to prevent widespread damage, and hopefully, it will make everyone more vigilant.

Interesting article here, https://www.businessinsider.com/coronavi...?r=US&IR=T
I hope the Italian findings prove to carry weight. Quote, "The swabs that were performed over the last 10 days showed a viral load in quantitative terms that was absolutely infinitesimal compared to the ones carried out a month or two months ago," Zangrillo said."

Not the news we all wanted to hear. Pretty obvious it would happen.
Must be a major setback for Yaiza Castilla and her campaign to promote the islands as the 'safe and secure' option for tourism. I saw the Red Cross handling the arrivals in Gran Tarajal. A lot of close contact, and the female Red Cross minibus driver had no mask and no protective measures. Does that mean these people will now all be tested and put under surveillance too? Fingers crossed, they get a grip.

Hi Archer, if your comment on the PPE of the driver & general allowing of close contact is accurate (& not doubting what you say in the slightest) then this is an absolutely shocking disregard for public safety with all that the island population has gone through over the last months. I hope there will be a full investigation of this & heads should roll if correct !!
Personally speaking, my approach to everyone these days is to assume they are infected & react accordingly. That should be the automatic assumption of anyone in a public health setting dealing with unknown members of the public.
