None to Ireland, either, despite the Irish government requesting citizens come home before the 19th! Hard to do if there are only a few flights and they're all fully booked.

Over 90% of those confirmed cases deemed to be in mild condition, therefore more like 2% require more urgent care. Sadly based on the data that 2% seem to be older with naturally weakened immune systems or carrying underlying conditions. Estimates are at worst 80% of the population will contract it meaning in the UK just over 1 million might require treatment. Spread that out then the systems can cope. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/healt...9-17927492

That was the original thinking, but more recent information would imply that this is not the case. France is reporting 50% of ICU cases being under 60, and Netherlands is reporting the same. Granted, the percentage of the population that is older is certainly less than 50% of the general population, so it's absolutely disproportionately affecting older people, but it absolutely is affecting younger people, too. It is very important that people realise this disease can affect anyone. A lot of young people are carelessly and callously living their lives without restriction "because it just badly affects old people so I don't care if I get it". They obviously do not care about being carriers and bringing this disease to the older people around them, but perhaps they might care if they knew it is likely to affect them, too, so it's important to get that information out there!

I had to go to The Medical Centre in Antigua this morning, and I must say I was surprised by how many people were out and about, I am not suggesting hundreds, but I passe around 20 between home and the market and again the same number between there and the Costa Antigua roundabout. similarly, I did not see a single Police car all morning.

I am aware this a Fuerteventura forum but I thought this video I saw earlier today was interesting and why Spain MAY have got it wrong.

Our return to the UK by ferry to mainland Spain road up the west side of Spain from Huelva to Santander and then ferry to Portsmouth has been postponed due to the movement restrictions, we are just watching this space.
So far Brittany Ferries and one of the three Paradores we were booked into have formally cancelled our reservations, waiting to hear from Armas / FRS Ferries and the other 2 Paradores
