  MULTIOPTICAS CC ATLANTICO
Posted by: windermeregolfer - 13-07-2019, 10:14 AM - Forum: Shops & Supermarkets - Replies (13)

This is real service  Smile Smile

I unfortunately broke a plastic clip that held my varifocal glasses lens to the frame so I took them into MULTIOPTICAS in the Atlantico Centre where they ordered a part, emailed me and replaced the clip in a very friendly COMPLIMENTARY (FOC) manner.

I cant recommend them highly enough.

Any new hotels down in the Jandia area?
Posted by: Will - 12-07-2019, 04:52 AM - Forum: Naturists - No Replies

Any new hotels down in the Jandia area? Not Costa Calma but the Jandia strip area. Or the Morro Jable town itself?

I'm not expecting naturist but just something not too far from the beach.

Or has nothing changed?

thanks

  Butihondo Beach
Posted by: jimjo23 - 11-07-2019, 04:25 PM - Forum: Naturists - Replies (2)

Hi
We have been to Fuerteventura for the last five years and normally spend each day in the stone circles, just below Monte Marina apartments on Butihondo beach. We love the location and find the beach stunning, with lovely soft sand underfoot. Its always very busy with naturists, with each stone circle being occupied. Last year was very different, lots of the stone circles were only half built, as the stones were scattered all over the sand, making it very difficult to walk on without footwear. The circles were deserted with only about half a dozen people in total. There did seem to be very high Tides at the time, so I understand that this has had some impact on the structure of the circles. I am also aware that the storms in January 2018 caused a lot of damage, but can anyone tell me if this is the norm, or is it likely to return back to it former glory?

Has anyone been to this location this year? What is the beach like now? Is there access to the water, in front of the stone circles, or are there still too many stones on the beach?

  Returning an item to Ikea
Posted by: Decho - 06-07-2019, 03:25 PM - Forum: Shops & Supermarkets - Replies (3)

i bought a bathroom cabinet and sink from Ikea but it’s a slightly off white colour and therefor doesn’t match the rest of the sanitary ware.
Can anyone tell me if you can return and item even though it’s not faulty?
And if so do they charge?
Thanks

  Kids Clubs in Corralejo
Posted by: stuart123 - 01-07-2019, 12:05 PM - Forum: Things to do on the island - Replies (6)

Hello All,

Does anyone know if there are any kids activity clubs that operate in Corralejo that aren't part of an all-inclusive hotel?

If not, are non-residents allowed to enter an AI hotel and pay to join in the activities?

Many thanks

Stuart

  Growing Pineapples on Fuerteventura
Posted by: TamaraEnLaPlaya - 27-06-2019, 10:44 PM - Forum: Environmental - Replies (30)

Pineapples have cropped up (excuse the pun) a few times recently: A beauty I bought at Tetir market and the ones in pots at FEAGA. It got me wondering about trying to grow them myself. I tried it as a kid, placing a sliced off top in a saucer of water, but just ended up with a rotten slushy mess. I had a look around on line and found a 'grow' site that I really like:

https://www.tropicalpermaculture.com/pin...owing.html

reading about permaculture was like coming home for me, it takes further a number of things I'd already tried to achieve in my garden and really got me thinking about how I can tweak the design of my garden to make life easier.

Back to the pineapples - according to this site they are really EASY to grow, should take our Weather with no problems, need little water and once you get going they should propagate themselves. Grow in the garden soil or in pots, once they're planted you have very little you need to do other than wait for bloom and fruit!

As easy as that - I'm hooked! I've bought a pineapple and plan on getting started following the instructions in the link. Anyone else going to give it a go? Feel free to add your experience/progress to this thread.

  Further pedestrianisation in Corralejo
Posted by: TamaraEnLaPlaya - 25-06-2019, 10:17 PM - Forum: Cars, cabs & roads - Replies (4)

Once again just as the busy tourist season approaches major works are going to start on the lower part of the main street in Corralejo:

from RTVAC

The City Council of La Oliva informs that the road traffic will be interrupted during the works, in the stretch of Nuestra Señora del Carmen included between Anzuelo Street and the already pedestrianized area. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained at all times

The Cabildo de Fuerteventura begins this week the works of the third and final phase of the Open Commercial Areas project of Corralejo, which will be developed in the section of the Nuestra Señora del Carmen Avenue included between Anzuelo Street and the already pedestrianized area.

The City Council of La Oliva informs the merchants, neighbors and businessmen of the area that traffic will remain closed during the works, but not the pedestrian traffic, which will remain open throughout the project.

The Corporation and the Cabildo apologize for the inconvenience that this project could cause, valuing that the works are necessary to improve the accessibility in the area and favor its commercial use, through a semi-pedestrian transit formula that has demonstrated its good results in the two sections already reformed.

The works will make it possible to equate the 150-meter stretch to reform the criteria already adapted in phases 1 and 2 of the Open Commercial Areas Plan of Corralejo, creating a single semi-pedestrian platform at the same level between the sidewalk and the roadway, adopting accessibility criteria , and installing urban furniture, gardening areas and new lighting. This project has a deadline of five months and an investment of around 600,000 euros.

Access and traffic

Traffic in the area affected by the works will be interrupted during the execution of the project in the stretch of Nuestra Señora del Carmen between the roundabout of the intersection with Anzuelo street, and the Battleship Spain street (next change of plate from this street to Antonia Morera Rodríguez).

From the headquarters of the Local Police of La Oliva, it is reported that they will be able to access the area of the works, through the streets Juan Sebastián Elcano and Acorazado Spain, Citizen Security vehicles, residents in the area, taxis , the vehicles of up to 3,500 kilos for loading and unloading, and the users of the gas station.

Infiniti Resort - Fuerteventura Sun Club

I was planning to book a 2 bedroom villa for next May but somebody who recently reviewed the place indicated that the admittance of day visitors for 20 Euros caused overcrowding. Somebody else wrote that they bought a day pass but stayed on for the evening entertainment as well. I don't have a problem with day passes providing they are properly managed/limited and don't attract undesirables. Please don't think I'm anti-social, it's just that I want to make sure "it isn't heading in the wrong direction " before I book.

If anybody has stayed there in the past few months, I would be very grateful if they shared their experience.
