  Sea Arch at Los Molinos
Posted by: Magoo - 02-08-2024, 09:36 AM - Forum: Things to do on the island - No Replies

Has anyone visited the sea arch / cave at Los Molinos?  How far among the beach is it?  We have visited the village for lunch a few times, but it has always been high tide, so we did not explore further.  Looks like a good photo op.

  Euro,s final in PR
Posted by: Johnrgby - 12-07-2024, 08:55 AM - Forum: Things to do on the island - Replies (2)

The City Council of Puerto del Rosario, through the Department of Culture, will install next Sunday, July 14, a giant screen in the central Plaza de la Paz, with the aim that fans can enjoy the final of the European Football Championship, which will be played by the Spanish team against the English from 8:00 p.m.

The Councilor for Culture, Juan Jiménez, explained that "after the success of last Friday's broadcast within the framework of the Economy and Sports Fair and that brought together numerous followers of the Spanish team at the Fairgrounds, we believe that the best way to enjoy this highly disputed final will be with other fans in the Plaza de la Paz where We have no doubt, the match will be followed with a lot of intensity".

Sunday's final will be the fifth final of a European Championship for La Roja. The previous ones, the almost forgotten one in 1964 in Madrid (won against the Soviet Union), 1984 in Paris (defeat against France), 2008 in Vienna (won against Germany), and 2012 in Kiev (with victory against Italy). If they win next Sunday, Spain will become the team with the most victories in the history of the European Championship, surpassing Germany, which also has three championships on its record.

Whatever happens during the match, in the end, the good performance of the Spanish team will be celebrated with the musical performance of the band Ochenteros.

  Planned Fuerteventura Nudist Video
Posted by: OldTodger - 26-06-2024, 03:20 AM - Forum: Naturists - No Replies

Hi there

I'm looking to edit together my YT beach walk videos into a compilation of the best nudist beaches of Fuerteventura.

The general acceptance of nudity on the island is such a wonderful freedom.

Legally, all of the beaches on Fuerteventura are available to nudists, as the Spanish constitution allows nudity in all public places in its territory.

So in reality, the best nudist beaches in Fuerteventura depend upon how confident you are as a nudist and how tolerant the locals are.

It seems to me that 'nudist beaches' fall into many categories, depending on your confidence to enjoy the sun on your skin.

If you are really confident, like me, go and enjoy.

If you like to be among other naked people but are not bothered by textiles also using the beach.

If you will only get naked if it is a totally nude beach with no textiles.

If you really only like to get naked if nobody will see you.

And no doubt many other views that I haven't thought about or even considered, such as the textile experience of sharing a beach with nudists.

There is also of course the elephant in the room, the nudist beaches where some people mistake nude with rude.

I would really be interested in comments and feedback on this forum. Both on my existing videos, to see where I can improve on them as well as to better understand what should be included in my upcoming video

"The best nude beaches of Fuerteventura"

Hopefully with the feedback from this forum, the YT video will end up as a very positive ambassador for the acceptance of nudity on the island, whilst guiding people who enjoy different levels of nudity to the correct place for them.

Many thanks in advance for your comments.

SANTANDER FUE - mortgage cancellation on BUYERS (!) escritura
Posted by: OldHag - 13-06-2024, 01:10 PM - Forum: General Discussions - Replies (3)

Feedback appreciated!

In Nov 2023 we bought a house. The seller had a mortgage with Santander. We bought with out a mortgage. Bank representative was not present at the notary. Purchase tax has been paid and all other associated costs. Solicitor (well known and respected) keeps chasing Santander to remove charges via "certificate" from the deeds. In April the seller came to the bank to sign a document back dated to November 2023 saying the mortgage has been settled (paid off in full). Santander told solicitor, who told us, since March 2024 that they will get certificates done and remove the charges from the title (nota simpla). Then we are told on the 7th June 2024 the bank will sign the certificates. This has not happened, the guy with delegated authority is now on hols until the end of June 2024.

We cannot file "reclamaciones" with Santander, as are not customers and so have no relationship with them. It appears that we could go to the regulator (Banco de Espana) and file the reclamacion with them. I told on our visit to Santander local branch that this smells like fraud to me and I am thinking of calling the Police. The guy there is indifferent.

What do you think? Are we being scammed, as there is still charge on the property? I asked the solicitor many times on what is the process, given the seller had a mortgage, but had no answer, or at least clear and concise one, reflecting the actual process or anywhere near.

Should I call "bobbies"?

  El Cotillo town sea rocks
Posted by: George Jackson - 03-06-2024, 05:00 PM - Forum: General Discussions - Replies (2)

I was in El Cotillo town this afternoon and the tide was only covering some of the rocks. I saw some "squares" in the sea which appear to be man made and look like rock. Anyone know what they are please.
I have seen something similar in Almeria, where small areas were made of rocks at the edge of the sea, many years ago, to catch fish when the tide went out.
I will try to take photos next time I see it.
Thanks in advance for any replies.ò

  Nudism around Morro Jable
Posted by: Herbert678 - 22-05-2024, 04:54 PM - Forum: Naturists - Replies (11)

Hi all
Me and wife spent many happy hols on island from about 1990 to 2005 enjoying everything the island had to offer - including me finding as many “spots” to go without clothes as possible.
Fast forward nearly 20 years and lots of life getting in the way we thought we would grab a quick week break back on island. Booked around Morro Jable just north of lighthouse and am so disappointed….!☹️
Textiles everywhere and got some very disapproving looks from them when dropped my shorts as walked down to seas edge and had a dip.  I was very respectful, went to area between rescue towers T5 and T3 (as recommended on this site), avoided walking near any families with children etc
There was only 2 others with nothing on there and whilst I am not biased I do prefer to see younger nudists than 80 year age olds!!! No disrespect to them but good looking bodies are kinder on the eye, right?
Suffice to say if we do bother to return to the island I will make sure we don’t book the south east coast. As another member said on a post, I fear nudism is dead on that part of the island and the prudes have taken over …. even though many of the tourists seemed to be German which surprised me

  International couriers
Posted by: TrickyFox - 07-05-2024, 05:32 PM - Forum: General Discussions - Replies (4)

I am looking to import an item from the United States. The company does not ship overseas per se.

They are willing to have the item picked up so I am asking - does anyone have any recommendations for good international couriers?

I was thinking perhaps UPS. I know that sometimes we are at the whim of the local sub-contractors.

Thanking in advance.
